The mysterious Tower of the Devil, known as Devils Tower, is located in northeastern Wyoming in the United States. Its height is over 1,266 ft., which is comparable with the height of the Empire State Building, which is about 1,250 ft. without the spire. The rock formed about 65 million years ago by volcanic activity, and is unusually shaped in the form of woman’s hips which was the result of erosion of the surrounding soft rock around a strong internal structure.

When an elephant dies in Zimbabwe, as these photos show, it doesn’t stick around for long. Poverty does some strange things to people and one of the things it does is make them hungry. So when villagers came across this dead elephant they just naturally had to butcher it and take it home to cook and eat. I wonder if it tastes like chicken?

That is exactly how I felt when I first saw Sakurako Kitsa's work, also known as Amorette Dye. The works of art consist of simply food dishes, with a talented arrangement where, aside from the everyday scenes, we see the representation of both real and imaginary objects, created with a lot of taste.

Hoppa is a dog who was born without its two front legs but has been learning to get around through the use of a specially designed wheelchair. The veterinarians thought the only way to prevent him from suffering would be to put him to sleep.

However, Avi Kozi, chairman of the Society for the Protection of Animals in Israel, adopted Hoppa and gave him a set of wheels that has helped him survive. Check out 3 more pics after the jump.
