Thai Elephants Help to Raise Money for Haiti
A Thai mahout rides an elephant as they collect money for victims of the recent Haiti earthquake in Bangkok January 21, 2010. Thai elephants walked in the backpacker area of Khao San Road to collect money as part of the country’s effort to help survivors in earthquake-hit Haiti.
It’s heartwarming to see around the world people donating to the victims of Haiti’s recent tragedy. Even though it is for a good cause I’m sure PETA would disapprove of fund raisers in Thailand using elephants. Check out six more pics after the jump.
