I visited this garden a month after the fires. It *is* still there and the sculptures are being rebuilt. It was so eerie and still magical post-fire with the green shoots pushing up everywhere; the remaining blackened and heat-bleached scuptures survived in spirit.

This garden is still present in Marysville. While much damage was done the owners are repairing and rebuilding. While some of the sculptures were broken many survived. It is a beautiful if somewhat haunting place. If you can go and see it you should.

"carvature?" Dear god.
Oh, and I believe there was some sort of fire and these things may or may not have been destroyed.

Amazing, i remember seeing these when i was 7 or 8. Too bad the entire town burnt down in the Black Saturday bushfires.

Marysville was at the epicenter of the Black Saturday Bushfires. i doubt that this garden still exists. Marysville is a town... or was until 22nd Feb 2009

Unfortunately, in the bushfires that devastated Victoria last February, these beautiful sculptures no longer exist. Marysville was completely wiped out.
A great loss to the art community, losing these.
